Self expression has always been a huge part of my life-it’s what expands my lungs and allows me breath. Sometimes, I wonder what existence would be like without art-and I simply can’t. It’s everywhere. All around us. In our words, our expressions, our movements, our surroundings, and each other. I was lucky back in 2021 to find a medium that allowed me space to create in a way I had never created before. Photography, painting, and writing were my outlets, but I never imagined I’d be creating wearable art in the form of clay and metals, let alone that others would be interested in wearing them too. Every time someone connects with a piece I’ve made and wants to take it home, I lose my mind a bit-in the best way. I create with expression in mind…often what you see in the form of earrings, necklaces, and rings came from a feeling…something so abstract somehow finding its way into a tangible piece of art. I’m elated and humbled to know my art resonates with others, and at the end of the day, if my craft creates a connection or sparks inspiration for someone, it’s one of the greatest compliments I could ever receive.
